At Camp Leo + ConnecT1D the safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and community is our priority. We are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We are engaging daily with medical professionals, and regularly monitoring the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other government agencies.

Camp Leo + ConnecT1D annually reviews our health and safety policies and procedures. Our medical team is working on this now and they are incorporating COVID-19 mitigations into this process. These will likely include increased measures in the health/illness screenings for participants and volunteers at the start of each of our programs. We will communicate any updates as the situation develops.

We have made changes to our 2020 program schedule in response to the situation. Please see below for recent updates. We will continue to update this page regularly as additional information or updates become available.

Update: 8/25/20 - Our annual Family Camp and Adult Retreat will not be held in person in 2020. Join us instead for the Fall ReMix Online Conference, with various activities to be held October 2-25 for families, adults, youth and anyone impacted by T1D. Click here for more information.

Update: 8/15/20 - Founders Dinner, our biggest fundraiser of the year and a critical source of funding for our camp scholarship fund, will be held online on November 6, 2020 from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Join us for some fun with friends within the T1D community, AND help us raise important funds for our 2021 programs. Update: 3/21/20 - We have updates on two upcoming programs:

  • Our Leaders In Training (LIT) Weekend for teens will not be held as originally scheduled on May 1-3. A virtual LIT Camp has been scheduled instead for May 30. Visit the Camp Leo program site for additional information.
