Family Camp Chair
Amanda was born in Northeastern Ohio and now lives in Seattle with her husband, Nick, and their two boys, Alex, 7, and Ben, 5. When Alex was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes before his second birthday, the ConnecT1D community became a beacon of hope and understanding that Amanda and her family desperately needed. She is thankful for the opportunity to help make the day-to-day struggles of living with Type 1 Diabetes a little bit more manageable for others. When she isn’t checking blood sugars at 2am or running ConnecT1D’s Family Camp, Amanda can be found drinking lots of coffee at work, running various races or watching her favorite Seattle and Cleveland area sports teams.
